Cape Town food spots when you are not paragliding

Places to eat in Cape Town between or after activities:

1. Mojo Market

Mojo Market is a must-visit spot for those looking for a lively atmosphere with live music, a wide variety of food options, and an extensive selection of beers. From Mexican burritos to fresh mussels and delicious wraps, there is something for everyone's taste. Don't forget to try the ice cream for dessert!

Top Tip: Consider staying at the hotel on the upper levels for an affordable option while visiting the city.

2. Creamery ice cream

After a refreshing walk, there's nothing better than indulging in a delicious dessert, and The Creamery ice cream shop is one of our top picks. Their ice cream is made with natural, locally sourced ingredients, and the flavors change with the seasons. We highly recommend trying the half/half, as it's more than enough to satisfy your sweet tooth. You can enjoy your treat while watching the beautiful sunset on the promenade or take a leisurely walk.

3. Glen country club

The Glen Country Club is not only a beautiful spot, but also a hub for the local paragliding community, as all paragliding pilots are members of the club. It's a perfect spot to grab a drink in between activities, as the view from the club is absolutely stunning. Situated next to the Bungalows beach club on the prime sunset location between Camps bay and Clifton beach.

4. Tonis on Kloof

Tonis on Kloof is a fantastic spot for Portuguese cuisine. One dish that we highly recommend is the Espetada, a skewered meat dish that is served with garlic butter and crispy fries. It's a must-try for meat lovers!

5. Van Hunks

A quick pitstop after a strenuous activity to rehydrate with local brews. They also have daily lunch specials. Recommendation: Check out their beer flights for a variety of tastes.

6. Roxy Late Night

Nestled away in one of the quiet streets of Gardens, this relaxed outside pub-style food spot serves up homemade twists on classic dishes.

Recommendation: Try their platters and daily specials for a taste of something new.

7. Hout Bay Fish

Head to Mariners Wharf or The Lookout restaurant for the freshest fish you can find. These spots are situated on the harbor where the fishermen bring their local catches. Recommendation: Go for the hake and chips or the linefish for a classic taste of the ocean. For more fine dining fish options, try The Codfather in Camps Bay.

8. Giovanni's

This Italian deli-style food spot is one of our favorite eating locations, with many healthy options to choose from. The friendly staff will help you dish up a healthy serving, prepare you a gourmet sandwich or salad, and serve some of the best coffee in the area.

Recommendation: Don't miss their healthy options and coffee.

9. The Hussar Grill

If you've just arrived in Cape Town and feeling peckish, head to The Hussar Grill for some of the best meat dishes in town. They offer excellent wine pairing choices and great desserts.

Recommendation: Go for the ribeye steak, fillet, or T-bone.

10. The Roundhouse at The Lawns

This spot offers epic views of the Twelve Apostles as well as overlooking Camps Bay. It's slightly sheltered on windy days and has great food and beverage options.

Recommendation: Try their fish and tapas options for a taste of something new.

11. Taproom Salt River from Devil's Peak Brewery

Visit the Taproom at Salt River to taste some of the best craft beer in Cape Town. They offer a range of unique brews to choose from.

12. Picnic

Sometimes the most underrated food spots are the ones we bring ourselves. There are so many great options from Woolworths food stops, so simply grab some healthy snacks and make any spot a great stop with a view.

Recommendation:
The Woolworths food stops and local bakeries in Cape Town offer a wide variety of delicious baked goods, sandwiches, and snacks. They're perfect for grabbing a quick bite to eat while exploring the city or for packing a picnic to enjoy at one of the beautiful parks or beaches. Be sure to try some of the local specialities, like biltong or koeksisters, for a true taste of Cape Town.

For an upscale and luxurious dining experience, The Twelve Apostles Hotel offers world-class cuisine and breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. It's a perfect option for a special occasion or a romantic dinner. If you're on a tight budget, consider stopping by for a sundowner and enjoy the stunning views. Don't forget to look overhead, as paragliders often fly overhead or in the distance at Signal Hill and Lions Head.

Our recommendations aim to provide you with a truly unforgettable and extraordinary experience in Cape Town. So why wait any longer? Let's embark on this adventure together and start exploring!

Remember to book your Paragliding experience early on as the weather can delay the activity and you might end up missing out on the opportunity to fly in Cape Town.
