The Mystic is a lightweight glider, weighing 4.1kg in the largest, 26m² size, built with “smart material choices” that aim to provide good a strength-to-weight ratio as well as durability and practicality.
Flow says their new two-liner with a shark nose profile provides “unparalleled comfort in flight”, allowing pilots to concentrate on the conditions around them while confidently pushing the glider to its limits.
The new aerofoil gives pilots the ability to slow down “incredibly easily” when landing with plenty of warning about a stall. This can be helpful when finding a tight spot to land in during X-Alps-type competitions.
Flow say the Mystic can turn into a racing machine during an SRS series or be a “carefree” everyday glider to enjoy a relaxing soar thanks to its “easy handling”. Adding that the wing can be launched with confidence from tricky launch sites and its “easy inflation characteristics” are due in part to integrated nitinol rods.
The Mystic comes in sizes from 21-26m² and three colours, covering a weight range of 65-120kg. It will be available from later in 2024.
